A mohther with AIDS who because of modern drugs is able to live normally, was also able to give birth to a child who was HIV negative because of the miracle of modern drugs. This photo was taken in the "Acholi Quarter" in Mbuya, a very poor section of Kampala where nearly all of the residents are clients of Reach Out, an NGO that provides medical and other help to people with HIV/AIDS. When this photo was taken, the woman and child were waiting to receive food from the World Food Program which was being given out clients by Reach Out.
