This woman selling okra was near Keta where ProLink, an NGO we were volunteering with, and we, had developed a project to plant coconut and acacia trees along the beach in order to reclaim land being washed into the sea and also to provide food, firewood, and building material to the local population for use and for sale. We were able to raise enough funds to plant 10,000 trees to add to the 2,700 that ProLink had previously planted.
