This young woman was once a child laborer in the Indian silk sari industry, and through the efforts of RIDE, an NGO in Kancheepurim, India, that my wife and I volunteered for, she was able to get an education, and her family was given the opportunity to learn skills so that this young woman, and others would no longer be forced into servitude.
